The Office of the Vice President for Research, in conjunction with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), is sponsoring a series of lectures addressing the biology and ethics of stem cell research methodologies. We are pleased that Dr. Maureen Condic, a neurobiology faculty member at the University of Utah and a Senior Fellow of the Westchester Institute for Ethics and the Human Person, will start off the series with a seminar at 2 pm on Thursday October 15th in A/Z W 118, entitled “Stem Cells: Hope and Hype”. Dr. Condic will also be available for a trainee lunch discussion from 11:30-1:00 in PATH 103 on October 15th. Students and postdoctoral fellows are asked to contact Molly Gutilla (Molly.Gutilla@colostate.edu) to reserve a seat at lunch.
