RICRO is currently accepting applications for a Responsible Conduct of Research Coordinator.
The Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Coordinator position of the Research Integrity & Compliance Review Office (RICRO) is responsible for maintaining the RCR Program and ensuring that CSU is in full compliance with institutional and federal RCR policies and regulations, on behalf of the Institutional Official (the Vice President for Research). The position is 0.5 FTE, and reports to the Associate Director of the Research Integrity & Compliance Review Office. The position will serve to promote research integrity among students, staff and faculty at CSU, consistent with our stated mission and values: to be accountable, promote civic responsibility, and act with integrity and mutual respect. The Coordinator must understand and follow federal regulations that require us to instruct on RCR principles as a condition of accepting federal funding for research and teaching. The position entails understanding scientific and scholarly research; managing communications with individuals and groups; a commitment to collegiality and confidentiality; the ability to skillfully navigate difficult or complex situations; a high degree of accuracy and productivity; the ability to manipulate primary data in a spreadsheet to understand trends and gaps; and, the ability to work closely with others in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, dedicated and insightful professional with a background in scientific and/or scholarly research, plus demonstrated applied critical thinking and writing.
